The Art Institute of Dallas Summer Studio 2008 Teen Workshops June 16-20

Maybe you are considering pursuing your degree in the creative and applied arts. Perhaps you want to learn more about what The Art Institute of Dallas has to offer. Either way, signing up for our Summer Studio is a great way to see your ideas come to life!

This workshop is designed so that you’ll have fun, meet other creative students, and explore some very exciting career fields. Take a look at the programs we offer, and see if The Art Institute of Dallas is the place for you!

Dates and Times:
June 16-20, 2008
Orientation: Monday, June 16th 6:00 P.M.
Classes: Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Awards Ceremony: Friday 10:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

Admission Requirements
This is a program for high school students graduating in 2008, and 2009 who want to explore a future in the creative and applied arts.

Tuition and Fees
A $50.00 deposit is required for registration. All balances are due by June 11th, 2008.
Commuters: $299 includes tuition, lunch and supplies.

Housing
$499 includes tuition, meals, supplies, and activities. Housing students will be supervised by The Art Institute of Dallas staff.

Transportation
Transportation to and from the hotel is provided for housing students only.

Animation

Discover what it’s like to be an animator! Create dynamic character designs and bring them to life. Explore the fundamentals of 2-D and 3-D animation and create an animation of your character design.

Culinary

Experience the sights, sounds, and aromas of our fully equipped kitchens and learn what it’s like to become a chef! Work alongside our chef instructors and explore techniques in food preparation and design.

Fashion Design

Be part of a design team and experience first-hand what it’s like to design by inspiration. Develop your skills in fashion sketching, product marketing, and presentation techniques. Sample the fast-paced industry of fashion.

Fashion & Retail Management

Explore the exciting world of Fashion Retail! You will work alongside fashion professionals as you learn how to forecast fashion trends, create beautiful visual displays, and recognize top designers in the field.

Graphic Design

Learn to apply your artistic skills and explore the career possibilities in the ever growing design industries of Graphic Design, Advertising Design, and Interactive Media Design. Summer Studio will give you a taste of the tools you need and a chance to build skills in a number of critical areas including drawing, design, illustration, image manipulation, and animation for the internet.

Interior Design

Immerse yourself in a hands-on project that introduces you to the working world of interior design. Summer Studio is designed to present you with a glimpse into the many career choices and job possibilities in the interior design industry.

Video/Digital Filmmaking

Go on location with the video crew to shoot your own music video footage. Work side by side with the faculty while you learn pre-production, production, and post-production techniques! Reserve your space today!
